I bought this camera as a cheap vacation video and the car on the track. At this point, the price is expected to compromise. In this case, the greater good than evil.
The good news is that a good video camera small enough to carry anywhere, and decent battery life. Moreover, in the case, mini tripod and remote control.
The bad news is very, very slow autofocus. It is also difficult to maintain (and getting used to). Button so that you can hit accidentally zoom takes 2 hands to operate smoothly during filming.
The evolution, I see you playing range autofocus faster-angle adapter (or a larger goal in the first place), a firm position on this is better than the buttons (especially the zoom button), the ability to override the switch, the ability to screen the film closed, the decrease in light output, and a place to put the lens cap when in use.
