Purchased this camera for our trip to Alaska. The 12-megapixel digital zoom without image degradation. Photos of wild animals has been a very nice zoom. Photos without flash in dark places is incredible. I have pictures of the sunset in Alaska and in the darkroom at the zoo, and spend the day. The size is good for your pocket or purse. I 2, before the Canon, and I regretted it. The largest is the zoom Powershot 780, and although I like to have something small enough in the pocket much more comfortable, and I have to photograph it. I do not think this camera negatives. The controls of small, but this is the point of the camera, right?

What we need is a camera:
Taking photos of the family.
Log in family events.
Record YouTube videos.
User of a MacBook.
I faced the camera before purchase:
This model is the Canon SD940, TL220 Samsung and Sony Cyber-290th
Although there is a new 4x optical zoom SD940, I chose this because the photo viewer’s perspective. The new version of the 940, which eliminates the small window of optics to increase 2,5-2,7 cm LCD. IMO, the important thing is that the screen on LCD optics is not a reflection of transition, what to look at the black-eye images only when they were really brilliant (often myself)
Then I bought really problems with the comparison:
1) The option of Samsung excluded because they had a plastic lens and you pay the first LCD screen, which is a premium of $ 100.
2) The SD940 has eliminated the optical viewfinder and a 4x optical zoom, which would I prefer to be in a position to photos:)
3) The Sony Cyber-290 (not 230) was the second option. But this makes it possible to record HD vid compact mode and not let you zoom while recording a movie. E ‘is much thicker than the rate.
Conclusion: For me, the following services are what is really happening to me to buy this:
Images 1) high quality
2) the most compact and lightweight, the provision
3) high quality 720p HD video
-Compact HDmode
you can not use digital zoom while recording
4) using the SD memory card and USB cable and a HDMI vs brand propieritary etc., ..
5) The price of wisdom is the best option

Takes great photos in the auto setting as well as awesome low light shots. You can zoom will taking video as long as you zoom in a little bit first before you hit the record button. I threw a 4 gig card in there and everything is a breeze.

I love this camera because it simply works! And it’s a magical “charmer” too..Wherever I go, this cam attracts the girls’ attention..
